Shane was born and raised in Nebraska where he attended the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a major in Exercise Science. He earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2009 and began with Endurance Rehab in July of that year.
Shane is certified in ASTYM, dry needling, and designing custom orthotics. He specializes in treatment of athletes with upper and lower extremity issues to determine biomechanical component cause and resolution. His techniques focus on addressing joint, soft tissue and movement restrictions to design appropriate manual therapy and therapeutic exercises to correct impairments for optimal performance. Additional areas of study have included orthopedics and sports rehab, with an emphasis on overhead throwing mechanics while interning with a professional baseball team.
Shane is dedicated to continuing education to further his knowledge and therapeutic practice. He has co-presented at a Continuing Education class on Medical Bike fit and Dry needling for associated pathologies. He has also led educational sessions within the medical community and for competitive athletes. He designs and teaches a core class at Endurance Rehab which focuses on dynamic core strength and mobility within a safe movement pattern.
He lives with his wife in North Scottsdale, where they enjoy hiking, camping and volleyball. He also enjoys mountain biking, playing competitive soccer, tennis and resistance training.
