Growing up in the picturesque city of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Akeisha’s passion for sports and physical activity began at an early age. Her athletic journey led her to the University of New Mexico, where she pursued an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and competed as a short sprinter and long jumper. During her time on the track and field team, Akeisha set the New Mexico state record in long jump and faced the challenge of rupturing both Achilles tendons—an experience that sparked her interest in physical therapy.
After earning her undergraduate degree, Akeisha continued her education at Northern Arizona University, where she completed her graduate studies in physical therapy, graduating in December 2024. Her academic and athletic background uniquely positions her to understand the physical and mental demands of high-level sports, particularly for runners, her favorite athletes to work with.
Outside of her professional life, Akeisha enjoys a variety of hobbies, including hiking, indoor cycling, cooking, and traveling. She also cherishes spending time with friends and family, playing with her beloved cat Wesley, and keeping active with workouts. An avid fan of track and field and gymnastics, Akeisha is always eager to stay connected with the sports that have shaped her life.
Akeisha’s personal experience with injury and rehabilitation, combined with her dedication to helping others achieve their best physical performance, makes her a valuable asset to the Endurance Rehab team. Whether working with elite athletes or those recovering from injury, Akeisha is committed to providing compassionate, expert care to help every patient reach their full potential.
