Rock and Roll Marathon Training Program
As an organization, Chances for Children - AZ has placed the fight against childhood obesity as its priority. For the past 3 years, Chances for Children-AZ has provided running programs to over 1500 children in local schools. The objective of this program is to introduce families to positive lifestyle activities, basic nutrition education and to provide new opportunities to children in your/our community. As Chances for Children-AZ Marathon training programs continue to grow, so will your community based Teams. Endurance Rehabilitation Scottsdale is headquarters to our Scottsdale Team. TEAM CHANCES Scottsdale will be coached by our very own Andi Felton. Andi is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist who is no stranger to the world of running. With a passion for running, training, and inspiring others to accomplish the same, Andi is thrilled to be a part of Chances for Children-AZ!! World-Class Marathoner Susan Loken is Team Chances program director. Susan will prepare all training programs, join us for runs and share her expertise during seminars. Our Scottsdale team will be specifically contributing to the recreational opportunities of special needs children through The Sydney Hudson Foundation. As an official charity sponsor of P.F. Chang’s Rock and Roll Marathon 2009, Team Chances training programs will begin September 3, 2008. While we realize some of you are veterans to the Rock and Roll event, we would like you to consider the chance to train for St. George Marathon (October), Tucson Marathon (December), and the Sedona Marathon (February), with earlier programs available.
